Sales Director
Location: Des Moines, IA

Overview

The Sales Director will be responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales team. While developing their own book of business initially, the Sales Director will also be responsible for managing functions essential to sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, goal setting and management, sales training, sales program implementation, compensation, and recruiting of sales team. This is a long term career opportunity with senior management responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing new business and achieving the company’s sales goals.
  • Manage the sales team, operations, and resources.
  • Hire, manage, and develop sales and marketing staff.
  • Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentives.
  • Define and coordinate sales training to enable sales reps to achieve their potential.
  • Manage key vendor/customer relationships.
  • Work closely with marketing to ensure coordinated communications that support the company’s sales goals and presence in the marketplace.
  • Travel to meet with vendors, customers, and partners to develop relationships.
  • Attend trade shows in order to meet new vendors/customers in targeted markets.
  • Work with the syndication desk to source and facilitate transactions.

Requirements
  • Degree in Finance, Marketing, or similar field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the lending/leasing field.
  • Sales Management experience with proven track record.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software, documentation, funding and outsourcing.
