Strategic Capital Investments, LLC announced that Neil Whitman has recently joined the firm to further expand our financial advisory and turnaround management business capabilities.

Neil was most recently SVP, Capital Markets at Radius Equipment Finance, a division of Radius Bank, Boston, MA, following the acquisition of NewStar’s Equipment Finance division by Radius. Neil was Director, Capital Markets, of NewStar Equipment Finance, a division on NewStar Financial, a specialized commercial finance company focused on meeting the complex financing needs of companies and private investors in the middle market. In these positions, Neil both bought and syndicated equipment finance transactions for leveraged credits, working with financial institutions throughout the country.  He has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, secured equipment financing and leasing, and over 15 years of experience in the capital markets for GE Capital and US Leasing

Neil is skilled in credit analysis, tax issues, transaction structuring, and equipment values.  He has broad experience in operating leases, tax-exempt financing, sale/leasebacks, IT Leasing, corporate aircraft, marine assets, and many other assets. He understands what borrowers are looking for in a lender and how to meet the needs of lenders in today’s challenging times.

Neil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Tufts University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected to Tau Beta Pi, and a Masters of Business Degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business with a concentration in Finance and Marketing.  He is a member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association and was elected as a member of the ELFA Independent Middle Market Business Council for 4 years.
