AILCO EF Names Larson President, Podewils Transitions to Chairman

April 30, 2018, 07:25 AM

AILCO Equipment Finance Group announced executive level leadership changes. Greg Larson was named President of AILCO. Tom Podewils, who has served as President since 2011, will transition to a new role as Chairman, serving as an advisor and in a business development capacity.

Larson joined AILCO from Bank Mutual where he was Senior Vice President and Director of Commercial Banking responsible for all aspects of middle market lending, business banking, treasury management, international banking and M&A financing activities. He has over 35 years of progressive banking experience with Wisconsin-based financial institutions.

“Greg’s availability as a result of the recent merger between Associated Bank and Bank Mutual and his long-standing business relationship with AILCO and related entities makes this a mutually beneficial opportunity,” Podewils said. “Greg brings significant leadership experience and will be responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the company.”

Podewils joined AILCO in 2008 and has established an outside business development team supported by a capable and efficient back office staff. Prior to AILCO, he spent 25 years with M&I Equipment Finance Company (now part of BMO Harris), where he held various executive, management and sales positions, including President.

“I am looking forward to scaling back my responsibilities and am grateful to have had the opportunity to lead AILCO for more than seven years,” Podewils said. “We’ve worked closely with Greg over the years, and he is very familiar with our business. I look forward to working with him as we continue to serve our clients in Southeastern Wisconsin and across the country.”
