According to various reports, Wells Fargo, China Development Bank and the Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group of Japan remain as the final bidders in a race to acquire RBS Aviation Capital.

The aircraft unit is expected to sell for up to $7.5 billion. A decision is expected next week according to sources familiar with the transaction.

As previously reported in December, Royal Bank of Scotland Group had received the highest bid for its aircraft-leasing division from China Development Bank Corp., while Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Wells Fargo had also submitted offers.
