AINonline reported that the business aviation recovery might truly be under way, according to the first-half 2012 aircraft delivery report from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).

According to the report, during the first six months of the year, aircraft shipments and industry billings rose over the first half of 2011.

For the first half of 2012, OEMs delivered over 294 business jets, an increase of more than 13% over the previous year as manufacturers continue to ride the momentum established in the second half of 2011. Turboprop deliveries increased overall from 220 in the first half of 2011 to 243 in the same period this year, while the industry’s total billings rose by nearly a billion dollars year-over-year to more than $8.2 billion.
