Equipment Appraisal Services (EquipmentAppraisal.com) announced that it has launched an online marketplace for buyers and sellers of machinery and equipment. The website EquipmentAuction.com allows users to list items for sale in various categories. There are no fees to list equipment for sale, no seller commissions, and no buyer premiums.

“Communicating with equipment dealers on a daily basis, we noticed that more and more were becoming frustrated with the fees charged for buying and selling equipment. Our goal with the website was to create a marketplace that would enable buyers and sellers to transact without any expense,” says Equipment Appraisal Services’ Managing Director Kipp Krukowski.

The website also has a number of features making it unique. “We found that dealers like the simplicity and no-fee model of Craigslist, but also like the auction and ‘Buy It Now’ functionalities of Ebay. Combining these features into a focused website without the noise of selling other products and services is what we set out to achieve with EquipmentAuction.com,” says Krukowski.

Asked how the company will make money from the venture, Krukowski said, “Our core business is appraising machinery and equipment. EquipmentAuction.com will provide us with valuable market data of transactions. Our goal is to create the most current and vast collection of transactional data related to machinery and equipment which will enable us to provide the most accurate appraisals for our clients.”

Equipment Appraisal Services (EquipmentAppraisal.com) is a nationwide provider of certified machinery and equipment appraisals for bank financing collateral, allocation of assets, partnership dissolutions, property tax appeals, sales or purchases of businesses, bankruptcies, gifting/donations, estate settlements, financial reporting, and litigation.
