Fleet Advantage announced it has been named to Food Logistics’ 2020 FL 100+ Top Software and Technology Providers annual list. This is the seventh straight year that Fleet Advantage has been included on the list, which honors leading software and technology providers that ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable global food and beverage supply chain.

In almost every industry, the transport of goods has been disrupted significantly by COVID-19, with great financial impact on the bottom line for millions of companies. Like many organizations, food and beverage companies were adversely affected by the pandemic. Even though the demand for loads increased, shipping rates dropped, placing further financial strain on these organizations.

Fleet Advantage helped numerous companies downsize their fleets if they had a surplus of trucks through its pioneering Sale-Leaseback program. The program allows organizations to select the assets from their fleet that are older models, which are inefficient and unreliable, and Fleet Advantage will purchase those assets and lease them back to the fleet for an interim period until they can transition to new equipment when ready.

Through Fleet Advantage’s ATLAAS (Advanced Truck Lifecycle Administrative Analytics Software) platform, the organization can select the asset that will be most cost-effective to replace as the system aggregates and consolidates truck operating data and offers sophisticated Business Intelligence and Fleet Data Analytics to help fleet executives interpret vast amount of information to make more efficient, profit-producing decisions.

“We are honored to be recognized as a top software and technology provider in the food and supply chain space, especially given the current economic circumstances that food and beverage transportation fleets have faced this year,” said Jim Griffin, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Fleet Advantage. “As a technology provider, we’re continuously seeking new and innovative ways to improve and offer data-driven cost savings to our customers in the supply chain.”

Since inception, ATLAAS has helped customers save an estimated $200 million, and as a result Fleet Advantage has over $1 billion of assets under management and serves America’s top truck fleets. ATLAAS has over 18 billion miles of data as part of the company’s tracking and analysis and monitors over 54,000 vehicles offering advantages in benchmarking of operating costs and providing monthly, quarterly, and annual fleet reporting for Total Cost of Ownership.

“From fleet management to warehouse management to simply just track and trace along the cold food chain, these software and technology providers have definitely stepped it up to ensure cold food and beverage products continue moving along the line without incident,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “This pandemic has thrown the food industry a curveball, but many of these providers fast-tracked the development and deployment of their solutions to ensure food safety, traceability, visibility and quality assurance. So, to these winners and others in the industry working to make a difference, thank you!”
