Fleet Advantage announced Chief Marketing Officer Katerina Jones, Marketing Manager Elizabeth Gomez and Marketing Assistant Tracy Derival were recipients of the Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive 2023 Women in Supply Chain Award.

Food Logistics’ and Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Women in Supply Chain Award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. This year’s list includes individuals across multiple industries, including trucking and transportation, who have all helped supply chain clients and the supply chain community at large prepare to meet many of today’s—and tomorrow’s—challenges.

Since she started with the company in 2014, Jones has been a valued member of the Fleet Advantage team. She has been extremely influential, not only internally for the organization, but also externally for the greater transportation and supply chain industries. Jones strives to deliver information, advocacy, and advancements on a continual basis, in which she contributes greatly to the success of Fleet Advantage’s business operations and in January of this year was appointed to Chief Marketing Officer. She also placed a high priority on mentoring and supporting other professional women in Fleet Advantage, in which she has nominated many of her female colleagues for various awards, speaking engagements, and continues to do so, while encouraging participation in various organizations. This is the third time she has been recognized for this award, as she won the first year it was created in 2020 and again in 2022.

Over the past five years, Gomez has achieved several important milestones with Fleet Advantage. She is instrumental in executing several request for proposal (RFP) packages for top companies that have led to awarded business, helping the company reach and exceed their Lease Origination goals. Gomez has also continued to expand the program reach and success of Fleet Advantage’s charitable efforts through its Kids Around The Corner Foundation to various new organizations, associations and affiliations in local communities. She has raised overall awareness throughout Fleet Advantage of the importance of giving back to local communities by adding volunteer opportunities, as well as increasing employee donations and charitable giving. In 2023, Gomez helped Kids Around The Corner partner with 13 new organizations, such as Truckers Against Trafficking and the Child Rescue Coalition. This is the second time she has been recognized for this award, as she won in 2022.

As the producer of Fleet Advantage’s video content, Derival has created over 160 internal Fleet Advantage educational videos on topics that include company culture, transportation and logistics news and culture, tradeshows and events, transportation services, community work, and more. Her exceptional creative thinking and unwavering attention to detail in the implementation of Fleet Advantage’s marketing initiatives has been proven to help the company connect with customers and leaders in the supply chain and logistics industry, in which the company’s overall social media presence has grown significantly within the last 12 months. Derival is also a member of the Women in Trucking Association and Women in Manufacturing Association and attended the Women in Trucking Association’s Accelerate! Conference & Expo in 2022 to promote Fleet Advantage programs that benefit the supply chain, equipment finance and transportation industries. This is the first year she has been recognized for this award.

“While supply chain concerns continue for many industries, influential women with diverse backgrounds such as Katerina, Elizabeth, and Tracy are proving that hard work, dedication and a commitment to navigating solutions open new opportunities and inspire other women to contribute to the growth and innovation of the supply chain industry,” said Brian Holland, President and CEO of Fleet Advantage. “We could not be prouder of the accomplishments Katerina, Elizabeth, and Tracy have worked hard to achieve, and they are a significant reason why Fleet Advantage is a leader in promoting a more diverse workplace to help address complex supply chain problems and improve global supply chain operations for our customers.”

Recipients will be honored at this year’s Women in Supply Chain Forum, set to take place Nov. 14-15, 2023, in Atlanta, GA.
