Position Responsibilities
The Senior Credit Analyst will report directly to the SVP of Underwriting and Operations and is responsible for leading the credit underwriting function for our Equipment Finance Group. The position is accountable for underwriting and offering quick turn around on small ticket equipment finance applications up to $250,000 in a fast paced and high-volume environment while making sound credit decisions protecting the integrity of our portfolio. The candidate will make independent decisions on commercial credit applications through evaluation of business and personal credit reports, financial statements, tax returns and other credit information. Channel Partners has a scoring model built on millions of datapoints to aid in the decision making.

Key Responsibilities
- Credit adjudicate and approve new finance applications within level of authority.
- Make timely credit decisions, sometimes on limited information.
- Professionally communicate decisions to our partners.
- Build relationships and offer exceptional service to our partners to ensure continued flow business.
- Communicate and work proactively with the sales team to help further penetrate our relationships with existing and new customers.
- Work to protect Channel Partners Capital from fraud and aid in pricing transactions for the appropriate risk.
- Look for ways to improve our customers’ experience in working with Channel Partners Equipment Finance Group.
- Identifies and implements underwriting strategies which make Channel Partners Capital a recognized, differentiated leader in the equipment finance industry.
- Keeps abreast of industry and competitor trends. Continuously builds and evolves the underwriting function.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in small ticket equipment finance credit underwriting.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence to make independent decisions and process information quickly.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships.
- Excellent organization and industry outreach ability.
- Expert working knowledge of underwriting third-party originated products preferred.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in credit and small business underwriting, 5 years in equipment financing preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant financial field or equivalent work experience.
- Expert level understanding of credit and underwriting operations, including knowledge of scoring models.
- Experience in or understanding of equipment finance business model in small-ticket business segment desirable.
- Working knowledge of financial statement analyses
