Industry & Partner Relationship Manager
Location: Remote

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a well-connected professional with an equipment finance background to serve as Industry & Partner Relations Manager. This role is all about getting out into the industry, building relationships, and generating pipeline for Northteq.

The $1T equipment finance industry runs on relationships and trust, and we’re looking for someone who not only understands that, but thrives on it. The ideal candidate is deeply connected within the Equipment Finance community, genuinely passionate about the industry, and motivated to continue strengthening the trust Northteq has built over decades.

You’ll be a visible ambassador for Northteq, representing our brand at industry events, conferences, and association meetings, and turning those connections into meaningful business opportunities.

On the partnership side, you’ll help execute Northteq’s new partner program; cultivating relationships with complementary technology vendors, consultants, and associations to drive qualified leads and expand our joint go-to-market reach. As part of this program, you’ll also help develop and manage channel sales opportunities, creating referral and co-selling relationships that amplify Northteq’s presence in the market.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Attend and represent NT at 20+ industry events annually, driving conversations that turn into new opportunities.
  • Build and expand a network of relationships across banks, independents, captives, associations, and influencers, embracing thought leadership to position Northteq as a trusted voice in equipment finance.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through your industry relationships, ensuring a smooth handoff to the sales team for pursuit and closure.
  • Develop strategic relationships that expand Northteq’s reach and create qualified opportunities for the sales team to advance.
  • Translate industry connections into tangible business opportunities, collaborating with the sales team to advance key accounts through the buying journey.
  • Leverage word of mouth and referrals by consistently engaging with your industry contacts.
  • Serve as Northteq’s point person with industry associations making sure Northteq is plugged into committees, sponsorships, speaking slots and content opportunities.
  • Help coordinate and define panel submissions, white papers, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Grow Northteq’s visibility and thought leadership on LinkedIn and other industry channels, amplifying our brand (i.e. suggest posts, tagging partners, celebrating wins).
  • Execute leadership’s defined processes for outreach, partner engagement, and referral management.
  • Launch and manage Northteq’s new partnership program including channel sales, building and maintaining relationships with technology partners, consultants, and associations.
  • Coordinate with Northteq’s marketing team to align messaging, campaigns and even presence.
  • Provide market and partner insights back to sales and product teams.
  • Track activities, referrals, and leads in Salesforce to ensure accurate attribution and ROI measurement.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
  • 7+ years in the equipment finance industry, with an established network of relationships.
  • Proven success in a relationship-driven, business development, or partnerships role.
  • Strong presence and credibility with C-suite leaders in banks, independents, and captives.
  • Experience developing and nurturing strategic partnerships or channels.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive independently in a highly visible, externally facing role.
  • Comfortable traveling frequently (30%+ of the time) to attend events and meet with industry leaders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through, reliable in executing outreach and relationship activities.
  • Organized and detail-oriented in tracking contacts, referrals, and partner engagement.
  • Motivated, results driven, and the ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to execute a solution-based, consultative sales approach focused on identifying and solving business pain.
  • Highly organized and accountable, keeps Salesforce updated.
  • Driven and eager to make an impact.
  • Balances persistence with professionalism, assertive without being aggressive.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • This position is fully remote. If the employee is located in the Twin Cities Metro area of MN, office space can be provided in our WeWork office.
  • Travel required for industry events, conferences, and partner meetings (30%+).
