Rouse Analytics: OLVs Rise Across All Equipment Categories in April

April OLV index values for used equipment across the fourteen major rental category indices tracked by Rouse increased 0.5% from March values. For the six months ending April 30th, 2013, average index values are up 1.0%. Six out of fourteen category indices recorded one-month value increases ranging from 0.3% for Dozers to 2.8% for Air Compressors.

April auction sales of rental & construction equipment tracked by Rouse averaged 1.9% higher than Rouse March FLV values. Rouse recorded 2,396 units that sold at 29
separate auction sales conducted across North America. The units represented a combined FLV (as of March 31st) of $61.1 million and generated $62.2 million of
gross auction proceeds.

During February, achieved rental rates increased 0.2% on average for the rental companies participating in the Rouse Analytics Rental Metrics Benchmark Service. Rates are up 6.5% relative to February 2012. Rouse Analytics calculates rate change weighted by prior period activity in accordance with the ARA Rental Market Metrics™ standard.
