TCF Bank Hires McGowan as Market Manager in Illinois, Wisconsin

TCF National Bank (TCF Bank), a subsidiary of TCF Financial Corporation, announced it hired Bill McGowan as Market Manager for Middle Market Banking. In this role, he is responsible for bringing in new business and implementing, coordinating and overseeing various commercial banking divisions in the Chicagoland and Milwaukee areas.

“Bill demonstrates the leadership skills and middle market banking knowledge it takes to fulfill such an important role,” said Dan Terpsma, Director, Commercial and Regional Banking at TCF Bank. “As we focus on growing our commercial banking business, Bill’s expertise enables us to leverage the investments we’ve made and build upon them to secure new business and grow existing business. I am confident he will be a great asset to the team.”

McGowan was previously Group President and Head of Commercial Treasury Management at MB Financial Bank and most recently responsible for the bank’s commercial treasury management line of business. He was with MB Financial for more than 13 years and held various leadership roles in commercial and specialized banking. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA with a concentration in finance from DePaul University. He serves on the Board of Advisors for Catholic Charities of Chicago and is active in other civic and charitable organizations.
