Ritchie Bros. will conduct its largest-ever, single-owner auction for Barrilleaux Inc., an oilfield pipeline construction company based in New Mexico and Texas. Tens of millions of dollars of equipment will be sold in this two-day event.

"Barrilleaux Inc. is well-known in the pipeline construction industry for their production, efficiency, high-quality work, and top-of-the-line, late-model equipment," said Alan McVicker, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. "In my 44 years in the auction business, this is the nicest fleet I've ever seen. We have a long relationship with Mr. Barrilleaux and are so proud he has put his trust in us to sell this magnificent selection of assets via online auction in August.”

Ritchie Bros. Sells $56MM+ of Equipment in Edmonton

Ritchie Bros. Edmonton team was back at it last week, selling more than 8,500 equipment items and trucks for over 1,200 consignors. The three-day online auction attracted close to 15,000 bidders and generated more than $56 million in gross transaction value.

Approximately 92 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to buyers in Canada, including 56 percent sold to Alberta, 15 percent to British Columbia and 9 percent to Saskatchewan. The remaining 8 percent of the equipment was sold to international buyers from as far away as Australia, China and the United Kingdom.

“We continue to see strong demand for low-hour, well-maintained equipment and trucks,” said Andrew Lutic, Regional Sales Manger, Ritchie Bros. “It's the beginning of construction season here in Alberta, so we saw a lot of companies bidding aggressively in hopes of buying new assets to upgrade or fill holes in their fleet.”
