May 24, 2022, 07:12 AM

Longtime First Community Bank employee, Dwight Ford, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer. In his new role, he will lead and direct the institution's overall loan portfolio. With 27 years of experience in banking, Ford joined First Community Bank in 2007, and he most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer.

“Our First Community Bank family is fortunate to have a person with Dwight’s experience, attitude and qualifications to serve in this important position,” said Boris Dover, President and Chief Operating Officer for First Community Bank. “We are confident that his contributions will lead to further success and growth for the bank in the years to come.”

Ford said, “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to help shape the future of such a rapidly growing, community-oriented bank. We are on an exciting growth trajectory, and I look forward to strengthening our business relationships by collaborating with our team, our partners and our customers on business opportunities.”

Ford earned his bachelor’s degree in finance with an emphasis in banking from Arkansas State University. He went on to earn his MBA at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and his certificate in financial planning from Christian Brothers University. Additionally, he holds a designation as a CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) from American Bankers Association.

Sitton To Head Merchant Services Division

First Community Bank announced Skylar Sitton has joined the bank as Vice President, Merchant Services Director. In her role, Sitton will lead proactive client pursuits, collaborate with internal partners, and develop compelling payments solutions to meet the strategic needs of the bank's commercial customers.

“Joining the First Community Bank family was the best career decision I’ve ever made,” said Sitton. “I have been welcomed with open arms, and everyone has made me feel so at home. I look forward to connecting with our sales team, leadership, and existing customers, as well as developing relationships with new customers as we continue to grow in this dynamic organization.”

Sitton has eight years of experience in the banking industry and has obtained her designation as a certified payments professional from the Electronic Transaction Association.

“We are very pleased to have Skylar lead our merchant services division,” said Gene Crawford, Senior Vice President, Director of Non-Interest Income for First Community Bank. “With her in place, we will be better suited to be able to meet a greater range of our commercial clients’ needs while continuing to provide them with the local, personal, and efficient service they have come to expect from First Community.”
