Advantage Funding has added two regional sales managers to its growing Vocational Truck Division.

Fred Clauhs will head the firm’s Mid-Atlantic Region, working directly with customers and vendors to build relationships and structure transactions tailored to vocational trucking. Ken Foster will manage the company’s Southwest Region.

Clauhs earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, N.C. Prior to his appointment with Advantage Funding, he held leadership positions with Hitachi Capital America Corporation, Daimler Truck Financial, and Volvo Financial Services Company. In addition to more than a decade of direct sales experience, Clauhs has an extensive background in equipment finance credit, collections, wholesale finance and customer service. Said Clauhs, “I look forward to creating financial solutions that will benefit Advantage Funding customers and delight its prospects.”

Foster received his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin. Before his appointment at Advantage Funding, he served as Vice President of Bank of America’s Leasing and Capital Division. He also held regional sales management positions with Fleet Bank, U.S. Bank and Heller Financial. “With my background in both vocational trucks and environmental services, I expect to bring new business in the waste and environmental industries,” said Foster. “I look forward to developing new relationships and putting my experience and professionalism to work for Advantage Funding.

“We are pleased that Fred and Ken will bring their considerable finance experience to customers in two of our largest sales regions,” said Edward P. Kaye, President of Advantage Funding. “Both professionals understand our unique brand of solutions and service, and will add depth to our already outstanding group of sales leaders.”

“Fred Clauhs and Ken Foster know trucks, truck finance and great service,” added Carol Dmytriw, National Sales Manager, Vocational Truck Division. “Vendors, customers and prospects will benefit from their experience and commitment to building effective financial solutions.”

Advantage Funding is a leading non-captive lender to the U.S. ground transportation industry.  It is a subsidiary of Marubeni America Corporation, the multibillion multinational general Japanese trading company. Advantage Funding’s Vocational Truck Division provides financing and leasing programs for all types of specialty short-haul tractors, trailers, and related trucking equipment
