Washington Trust Promotes Chief Commercial Lending Officer Botelho to EVP

The Washington Trust Company announced the promotion of four senior managers to executive vice president.

Anthony Botelho, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Lending Officer, leads Washington Trust's Commercial and Industrial Lending and Cash Management groups. He joined Washington Trust in 2021 with more than 35 years of expertise in relationship management, private banking, commercial real estate, and market development, most recently as President & CEO of Freedom National Bank based in Greenville, RI

Elizabeth Boyle Eckel, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing & Corporate Communications Officer joined Washington Trust in 1991 and has more than 30 years of professional marketing experience. She is responsible for developing marketing and brand strategy for the Bank and its subsidiaries, as well as investor relations activities with the shareholder and investment communities. She is also responsible for oversight of oversees the Bank's community relations. She is a graduate and active member of the ABA's Bank Marketing Association.

James A. Mignone, Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, leads Washington Trust's bank operations and technology teams with more than 35 years' experience in the financial, technology auditing, and banking industries. Prior to joining the Bank in 2016, he served as Vice President, Corporate Information Security at State Street Corporation and Senior Vice President of Information Risk at Citizens Bank.

Julia Anne M. Slom, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Real Estate Lending Officer, leads Washington Trust's Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Small Business Lending Groups. She is credited with developing the Bank's CRE Group in 2013 and oversees the retention and growth of its loan portfolio, as well as outreach, support, and loan development for small businesses throughout the Bank's market area.
