The Alta Group Announces Voorhees as New Director

Patricia M. Voorhees has joined The Alta Group as a director, CEO John C. Deane announced. Voorhees has extensive experience in forming captive financing companies, establishing vendor finance programs, and facilitating mergers and acquisitions within the commercial finance industry. She was an executive with GE Capital Commercial Finance for 15 years before founding Verus Services Group.
 
“We are pleased that Patricia has joined our team to help expand captive and vendor finance services to clients and support our busy M&A practice,” noted Deane of Alta, the leading global consultancy dedicated exclusively to the business of equipment leasing and asset finance.

After launching her career at IBM, Voorhees worked for GE Capital from 1996 to 2011, where she served in several key roles. She was vice president for business development, responsible for establishing more than a dozen new vendor and captive finance programs during her tenure. She then became managing director of business development for M&As, managing more than 14 acquisition originations in that capacity. Later she was the company’s general manager of Office Imaging Finance, leading a small-ticket leasing business with $5.5 billion in assets and 450 employees. She also was GE Capital’s strategic pricing leader during the  U.S.  financial crisis.
 
Voorhees most recently was founding principal and president of Verus Services Group, a consultancy serving the commercial finance and commercial real estate markets. The firm’s client engagements include providing consulting services to  Fordham   University ’s Graduate School of Business Consortium for Trustworthy Organizations.
 
She earned her bachelor of arts degree in economics from  Western   Connecticut   State   University , and two masters of arts degrees from  Fordham   University , in education for peace and social justice, and ethics and society.
