Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in specialty financing, fleet data analytics, fleet management services and life cycle cost management, announced it has been recognized as a winner of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2025 Top Supply Chain Projects award. This marks the second consecutive year Fleet Advantage has received the honor, highlighting its continued leadership in modernizing the transportation and logistics supply chain through innovation and automation.
As Supply & Demand Chain Executive covers the entire global supply chain, and Food Logistics is exclusively dedicated to the global cold food supply chain, the Top Supply Chain Projects award annually profiles innovative, case study-type projects that automate, optimize and improve the movement of product throughout the supply chain.
Fleet Advantage was selected for its trailblazing project developed in partnership with a major national retailer. The company’s innovation, a fleet-oriented software tool that is designed to enhance the lease surrender process for organizations with transportation fleets, addresses a longstanding industry challenge marked by inefficiencies, manual documentation and costly delays. The solution enables centralized truck return management, automated inspection coordination and real-time digital work order processing, dramatically reducing administrative burdens and improving transparency across the lease lifecycle.
This fleet-oriented software has already delivered measurable results. It reduced lease surrender timelines from an industry average of 91+ days to just 30 days, saving one large Fleet Advantage customer over $10 million in lease extension costs. The solution has also driven a 45% reduction in administrative process errors and saved fleet management teams an average of 45 minutes per truck in labor by eliminating outdated workflows such as email chains and manual spreadsheets.
In addition to the financial and operational benefits for fleets, this technology also strengthens relationships across the broader supply chain ecosystem, including OEMs, finance partners and maintenance providers. The platform enhances visibility, risk assessment and coordination—ultimately enabling organizations with transportation fleets to execute vehicle transitions faster and with fewer errors.
“This recognition for the second consecutive year by Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics reinforces our mission to continuously innovate in areas where the supply chain has been underserved,” said Matt de Aguiar, MBA, CLFP, Chief Operating Officer of Fleet Advantage. “Our fleet-oriented software tackles a decades-old industry problem with modern digital tools that deliver real business value, helping organizations with transportation fleets improve cost management and operational efficiency.”
