December 03, 2025, 07:12 AM

PlainsCapital Bank announced that Evans Attwell has joined the Bank as Senior Vice President, Senior Business Development Officer. He will be based at PlainsCapital’s Kirby location in Houston.

In this role, Attwell will identify and develop new business relationships while serving as a key point of contact for existing clients. He will help deliver tailored financial solutions, support deposit and loan growth, and foster collaboration across departments to ensure a high standard of service throughout the Houston market.

“Evans has a long history of working with Houston businesses and individuals and understands what it takes to build lasting relationships,” said Danny Schroder, Houston Region Chairman at PlainsCapital Bank. “We’re glad to have him on board and look forward to the impact he’ll make on our team.”

Attwell joins PlainsCapital from Frost Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President in the Private Banking Group for more than 13 years. Over his nearly 40-year career, he has held roles at Citi Private Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Royal Bank of Canada, focusing on private banking, corporate finance, and wealth management.

He earned his MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor of Science in business from Washington and Lee University. Attwell is active in the Houston community, serving on boards and advisory boards for many organizations, including Hermann Park Conservancy, Scenic Houston, Houston Christian University’s Dunham College of Business, Texas Children's Cancer & Hematology Center, and the SPARK School Park Program.

“PlainsCapital has built a strong reputation for relationship banking and community involvement,” said Attwell. “I’m thrilled to join a team that shares those values and is committed to helping Houston businesses succeed.”
