It is with deep sadness that the AACFB shared the news that AACFB Immediate Past President, Roderick Knoll, CLFP, passed away on February 14, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Roderick was more than a respected leader within the association, he was a mentor, a collaborator, and a passionate advocate for education and professionalism in commercial finance. His integrity, generosity, and steady leadership left a lasting impact on AACFB and on the many members who had the privilege of learning from and working alongside him.
Roderick served on the AACFB Board of Directors from 2020 until his passing on Saturday. Serving first as Secretary/Treasurer and then going through the chairs to the presidency. He loved to famously announce in his Treasurer reports that, "We have no debt!" While that is still true, the AACFB owes a debt of gratitude to Roderick for his years of service, leadership, and friendship.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Golden, Colorado next week, with a reception to follow. Donations can be made in Roderick's memory to the Cancer Support Community.
