Evan Howe of Baystone Government Finance has been honored by the Association for Governmental Leasing and Finance (AGLF) with its prestigious Jay D. Terry Award for his contributions and lasting impact.

AGLF officials presented the award at their annual conference May 7 in Phoenix, Arizona. Howe is the Director of Baystone Government Finance, which is the government and non-profit lending division of KS StateBank. He leads one of the largest municipal financing teams in the nation.

The Jay D. Terry Award, named for AGLF founding member Jay D. Terry, recognizes a legacy of dedication and impact.

Howe exemplifies the spirit of the award, AGLF noted in announcing the honor. “Through his longstanding commitment, leadership, and unwavering support of AGLF, Evan has made a lasting impact on the organization and its members. His dedication, generosity, and willingness to give his time and expertise have truly helped shape and strengthen our community.”

Howe has been an active member of the AGLF since 1990. During his 35 years as a member of the organization, he served two full terms on its board of directors including holding the office of both President and Chairman. He also served as Co-Chairman for three annual conferences and presented at numerous AGLF conferences on municipal leasing and other topics.

At his presentation ceremony, Howe stated that the true value of being a member of the AGLF are the lasting friendships and relationships made over the past 35 years. “I was very fortunate that I had the opportunity to become part of this organization all those years ago. Attending these conferences for so many years gave me the opportunity to make many professional and personal relationships with very talented and dedicated members of our association.”
