Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) announced the launch of its Dealer Sentiment and Manufacturer Satisfaction Quarterly Report, a first-of-its-kind report that covers both the agriculture and construction equipment sectors, designed to gauge both overall dealer sentiment of past, current and future market conditions along dealer satisfaction with leading manufacturers across the equipment industry.

The quarterly report will gather feedback based on a survey of equipment dealers regarding their current perspective of their market and business conditions along with feedback on leading equipment manufacturers. The report resulting from the survey will provide a unique snapshot of the current state and outlook for the industry along with the status of relationships shaping the equipment industry. Index scoring will be provided for the manufacturers across several areas including: Commercial Performance, Operational Ease, Dealer Support Effectiveness, Channel Relationship Quality, Future Readiness and ultimately provide a summary Net Promoter Score (NPS) for the manufacturers.

“Dealers have valuable insight into the manufacturers they represent and the market conditions they face every day,” said Brian P. McGuire, President & CEO of Associated Equipment Distributors. “This report gives dealers a voice while providing manufacturers with direct feedback they can use to strengthen relationships, improve performance and better serve their dealer networks.”

Unlike traditional satisfaction surveys that focus solely on manufacturer relationships or dealer market conditions, AED’s quarterly report brings both perspectives together, creating a consistent baseline that will provide insight into changes and trends in dealer confidence and manufacturer performance over time.

The report is based on a brief survey that will be distributed quarterly to dealer organizations. Responses will be compiled into a report featuring:

  • Dealer sentiment and industry outlook
  • Satisfaction index ratings for the industry’s leading agriculture and construction equipment manufacturers
  • Manufacturer Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Quarterly and annual industry trending for both market sentiment and manufacturer satisfaction
  • Comparative benchmarking across participating manufacturers

The full report will be published quarterly in AED Magazine and made available digitally at no cost through the AED Magazine website providing dealers and manufacturers with actionable insights to better understand evolving market conditions and dealer perspectives.

“This is the first report to combine overall dealer sentiment with manufacturer satisfaction for both leading off-highway equipment markets in a single quarterly benchmark survey and report,” said Jon Cruthers, AED Senior Vice President of Market & Business Development. “Our goal was to create a report that goes beyond separate market surveys that exist today and identify trends over time to provide meaningful data that dealers and manufacturers can use to measure progress and make informed decisions in the markets that AED serves.”

The inaugural Dealer Sentiment & Manufacturer Satisfaction Quarterly Survey will launch in the 3rd quarter of 2026 with the first summary report scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue of AED Magazine.
