Post Road Equipment Finance (“PREF”) announce the recent closing of a $40 million capital lease facility for a leading U.S. producer of prepared protein products, with PREF serving as lead arranger. The family-owned company manufactures ready-to-eat protein products that are sold to a diverse customer base including national retail grocers, convenience store chains and food service operators.
The transaction was structured as a sale leaseback of new and existing production equipment, including automated production lines, freezer systems, refrigeration and wastewater treatment assets. Proceeds will support the build-out of a production facility, expanding the company’s manufacturing capacity and adding operational redundancy as it continues to grow alongside its long-standing customer base. Equipment being installed at the new facility is being financed through the build period, providing the company with dedicated capital throughout the construction period.
The transaction reflects Post Road’s ability to deliver customized financing solutions for complex capital projects. By unlocking liquidity from mission-critical assets, PREF enabled the company to invest in longterm growth while preserving financial flexibility for its broader strategic priorities.
Andrew Larson, Managing Director at Post Road Equipment Finance, commented, “This transaction showcases the Post Road team’s ability to understand complex manufacturing operations and structure a financing solution around a company’s strategic goals. By unlocking capital from essential production equipment and funding new assets through construction, we were able to support a meaningful expansion of the company’s manufacturing footprint. We are proud to partner with a long-established, family-owned business and look forward to supporting its continued growth.”
