CSI Leasing Inc. (CSI) recently announced two officer promotions within its in-house legal team.
Alex Kafoury has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel. Kafoury began his career at CSI in 2012 as a corporate attorney, specializing in international legal matters. Throughout his tenure, CSI expanded to an additional 16 countries and Alex played a key role in integrating many of them into CSI’s business model. Today, the company conducts business in more than 50 countries and Kafoury continues to assist many of our international subsidiaries with legal advice. Alex received a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in 2007 and a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s School of Law in 2011.
Emily Harvatin has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. Harvatin joined CSI in 2023 as a corporate attorney, specializing in contract law. Prior to CSI, she was an associate for Newton Barth L.L.P, where she predominantly focused on employment law matters. In 2018, she received two bachelors’ degrees from the University of Kansas, one in political science and another in sociology, and a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2021.
Both Kafoury and Harvatin are members of The Missouri Bar and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
“Alex’s in-depth knowledge of international law and Emily’s ability to negotiate terms and conditions that benefit both CSI and our customers are tremendous assets to our in-house legal team,” said Lorraine Cherrick, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. “They both have an excellent understanding of the leasing industry, which helps our customers navigate complexities and identify opportunities.”
