July 08, 2015, 07:00 AM

Napier Park Global Capital (“Napier Park”) announced that Joseph Lane has joined the firm’s private equity group, Napier Park Financial Partners, as a managing director.

“We are excited to welcome Joe to Napier Park,” said Manu Rana, managing director and co-head of Napier Park Financial Partners. “Joe brings extensive leadership, governance and investment experience across the broadest range of commercial finance opportunities. Joe’s experience, relationships and judgment will be invaluable as we continue to partner with leading operators and provide them with capital to help achieve their business objectives.”

“At $4 billion and with privileged partnerships with leading operators, the size and scope of Financial Partners’ income and leasing investment portfolio is already significant,” said Lane. “By adding my own skills and experience to such a high-quality team as Napier Park, I look forward to the opportunity to create additional value for our partners as we pursue new opportunities in familiar markets.”

Prior to joining Napier Park, Lane held a number of executive roles in the commercial finance sector, including CEO of GE Technology Finance; president of IBM Credit Corporation, one of the largest captive finance organizations globally; and, president and CEO of GATX Capital. Lane also co-founded Sinter Partners, an investment and advisory partnership. He is a past chairman of the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association, and a trustee and chairman of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation. He is also currently on the boards of the South Bronx Educational Foundation and Inner City Foundation for Charity & Education as well as an Associate Fellow of Davenport College at Yale University. Lane received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, where he continues to be actively involved with the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute.
