This week Ritchie Bros. sold 4,100+ equipment items and trucks for US$50+ million at its unreserved auction in Fort Worth, TX, setting a new December sales record for the site.

More than 5,000 people from 60 countries registered to bid in the auction on December 13 – 14, 2017, including 3,500+ people registering to bid online. U.S. buyers purchased 91 percent of the equipment, including 40 percent purchased by Texas buyers, while international buyers from as far away as India, Italy, and Vietnam purchased nine percent of the equipment. Online buyers purchased 56 percent of the equipment.

"We had a great auction this week—our largest sale ever in December—with an uptick in pricing in most equipment categories," said Neal Black, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. "We saw particularly strong pricing for the nice forestry package in the auction, which sold to buyers across the country and into Canada. We also saw good prices for the massive selection of transportation assets in the sale."

Neal Black continued, "We'd like to thank all the buyers and sellers that participated in our Fort Worth auctions this year—from our site's largest auction ever in March to our site's largest December auction ever."
Ritchie Bros. sold equipment for 575+ owners in the Fort Worth auction. Highlights included 450+ truck tractors, 390+ trailers, 225+ aerial work platforms, 95+ excavators, 65 compactors, 55+ skid steers, 55 loader backhoes, 50+ flatbed trucks, 45+ dump trucks, 35+ loaders, and 15+ dozers. All items were sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.
