Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking Names Regional VP

Wells Fargo Middle Market Banking announced Arnie Adkins has been named regional vice president for its Western Mid-Atlantic commercial lending operations, covering Lynchburg, Southwest Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley, and West Virginia.

Based in Roanoke, VA, Adkins leads Wells Fargo’s local Middle Market Banking team serving Western Mid-Atlantic companies with annual revenues of $20 million and more. A native of Roanoke, Adkins joined Wells Fargo in 1989 and completed the bank’s commercial banking training program. For 20 years, Adkins managed new loan portfolios and led a team of analysts in underwriting and servicing for the Western Mid-Atlantic.

“Wells Fargo’s commercial lending model is to have local representation backed by specialized resources, whether that’s industry or specific financial capabilities, such as international, investment banking, and treasury management,” said Abby Matia, Mid-Atlantic division manager for Wells Fargo Middle Marking Banking. “We partner with these resources to deliver comprehensive financial services and solutions to our customers.”

Adkins graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance.

“Arnie is a respected member of the local banking community and has dedicated his career to helping Virginia companies’ meet their financial needs for more than two decades,” Matia said. “He has demonstrated the leadership qualities and tenured commitment to this market and team, which he will lead with integrity, diligence and continued commitment to serving our clients and this community.”
