November 27, 2018, 07:25 AM

Stonebriar Commercial Finance announced Thomas Kaptur has joined the company as Managing Director of Originations. Based in Chicago, Kaptur will manage Stonebriar’s direct originations efforts throughout the Midwest.

Prior to joining Stonebriar, Kaptur originated large-ticket equipment secured loans and leases for Ally Financial. His earlier experience includes 16 years with Siemens Financial Services during which he delivered structured loan and lease solutions to upper middle market companies and large corporate enterprises.

Kaptur holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.

“Tom is a proven industry veteran bringing to Stonebriar decades of experience structuring secured loan and lease solutions to a diverse set of industries across the Midwest. The Midwest has been an active market for Stonebriar, and I am confident that Tom’s network of direct and referral source relationships will afford us continued opportunities to deploy capital in support of these capital-intensive businesses,” said Kyle Parks, Stonebriar’s Head of Direct Originations. “Tom is both creative and pragmatic in his approach to capital solutions. We are excited to welcome him to the team.”

Kaptur said, “The Midwest is rich with great companies in need of alternative capital to support strategically important revenue generating projects. Stonebriar’s unique perspective on these investments, its willingness to listen and understand their essentiality, and ultimately its ability to independently underwrite and deploy the necessary capital are the construct of an attractive value proposition that I look forward to bringing to market. I am truly excited to join this dynamic and growth-oriented team.”
