Marlin Business Services Corp. announced the hiring of George F. Coburn as Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of Marlin Business Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary. Mr. Coburn will be based at the bank's headquarters in Utah, reporting directly to Raymond J. Dardano, President of Marlin Business Bank.

Coburn's responsibilities will include portfolio management of the commercial loans and leases underwritten by the bank, and further expanding Marlin's credit underwriting services and capabilities.

Coburn has had a successful and extensive career in banking in which he has held various senior level positions, including group vice president and operations officer of unsecured lending, executive vice president and chief credit officer, and president and chief executive officer. He began his career with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as a commercial bank examiner. His most recent position was with UBS Bank USA as executive director, chief administrative officer and chief technology officer.

"We are delighted to have George on board at Marlin Business Bank," said Raymond Dardano. "The depth of his industry experience and lending expertise will be a great asset in supporting our efforts to grow our customer base and offer enhanced credit services."
